Who We Are
Jerome Kirkland, Sr.
Brother Jerome Kirkland, Sr. was born in Valdosta, GA. Brother Kirkland obeyed the Gospel of Christ on August 25, 1972 under Brother Harvey Jackson. Brother Kirkland graduated from Lowndes High School in 1973 and from there he went on to attend former Valdosta State College which is currently Valdosta State University. Brother Kirkland and Sister Kirkland were married on September 5, 1975 and together they have three children; Jerome, Jr., Monica, and Teresa. Brother Jerome Kirkland, Sr., worked for 38 years in Nashville, GA as a maintenance mechanic and 5 years for Winfab Fabrics. He retired in March of 2022. On February 18, 2024, Brother Kirkland was installed as a deacon for the Southside Church of Christ where he and his family worship.
Jesse Hall
Brother Jesse Hall was born in Monticello, FL. He learned the trade of welding from Job Corp. He worked at Forest Product for 25 years and retired. Brother Hall obeyed the Gospel of Christ in November 1999. He is dedicated to the Lord's work and he loves his church family. Brother Hall is a deacon at Southside Church of Christ. Brother Hall has been married to Sister Donna Hall for over 30 years. Together they have 3 adult children and six grandchildren.
Carlton Johnson, Jr.
Brother Carlton Johnson, Jr. is a native of Valdosta, GA. Brother Johnson obeyed the Gospel of Christ in 1976. Brother Johnson holds an Associate of Behavior Arts Degree from Georgia Military College. Brother Johnson has served in the United States Army and is currently the Assistant Director of Valdosta City School Transportation. Brother Johnson has served at Southside in various capacities such as: song leader, sound room ministry manager, bible school teacher and he has worked with the visitation ministry. Brother Johnson has been married to Sister Lynn Johnson for over 30 years. Together they have two adult children and seven grandchildren.
William Moore, Jr.
Brother William Moore is a native of Valdosta, GA. Brother Moore obeyed the Gospel of Christ in October of 2013. Brother Moore is employed at the Union Tank Car Company and has worked for them for 13 years. Brother Moore has a passion for the funeral service business and he is currently pursuing a degree to be a mortician/licensed funeral home director. He works part-time for Harrington Funeral Home. Brother Moore has been married to Sister Taniesha Moore since 2009. They have four children together. Brother Moore was ordained a deacon at Southside on November 1, 2020.
