Who We Are
Earnest Carter, Jr.
Associate Minister & Elder
Brother Earnest Carter, Jr. is a native of Valdosta, GA. Brother Carter was baptized into Christ while he attended Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, TX. Earnest Carter, Jr. has dedicated his life to the ministry of encouraging men and women to live for Christ. Brother Carter has been teaching and preaching for over 40 years. He and Sister Deborah Carter have been married for over 44 years. Together, they have two daughters and four grandchildren. Brother Carter was ordained an elder at Southside on May 7, 2006.
Darrell Davis
Elder
Brother Darrell Davis is a native of Jackson, MS, and later moved to Orlando, FL. He was baptized in 1973. Brother Davis served our country for 21 years in the USAF and retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1995. Brother Davis was a JROTC Senior Instructor in Jasper, FL for 20 years, where he also retired in 2015. Brother Davis was ordained an elder at the Southside Church of Christ on May 7, 2006. Currently, he assists with teaching adult bible classes, working with the youth program at Southside Church of Christ. He has been married to Sister Mignon Davis for 50 years and together they have 4 children, 8 grandsons, and 3 granddaughters.

Brother Darrell's favorite bible scripture is John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Etheridge Seward
Elder
Brother Etheridge Seward, commonly known as Brother Fego around Southside congregation is a native of Valdosta, GA and he grew up at Southside Church of Christ. Brother Seward obeyed the Gospel of Christ in 1976. Brother Seward holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Georgia Military College. He served in the United States Army for 25 years in which he retired in October 2005. Brother Seward serves as a song leader, bible school teacher, aids in the sound room, and serves as an elder at Southside Church of Christ. Brother Seward was ordained an elder on November 21, 2021. Brother Seward has been married to Sister Sheila Seward for over 30 years. Brother and Sister Seward have three adult children and seven grandchildren.
